Darcy, was a dancer since the age of 5. She performed professionally until an accident steered her on a different course. Yoga and pilates were and continue to be major influences towards her healing. Her studies and practice include Ashtanga, Iyengar, arthritis-based exercise (through the Arthritis Foundation), chair yoga and pilates. Darcy is enhancing her skills through continuing education. She uses what is happening in class and what is happening around her to make a class theme. Darcy is a great communicator; she is very precise when she teaches. She is caring, nurturing, gentle and present. Her true niche is asserting integrity of the poses with a mindfulness approach. We are so grateful to have Darcy in our yogic family bringing her caring, kindness and yogi knowledge into our community and to your classes. Striving to better herself, her learning and practice continues. "My love, my hope, my desire is not only to instill integrity during our practice, my wish also is to encourage a nurturing of life and self, our WHOLE self. As we 'step on to our mat,' we begin to 'plant new seeds.' As we 'step off our mat,' we sow the fruits of our 'new nature.' Rather than something 'we do,' to me yoga is a 'becoming.' It is a living art. It is a being in and of life. It is a living and sharing of life in Truth and Pure Love."
